Laura JJ Dessauer, EdD(ABD), ATR-BC, LCAT, LMHC the founder of Business Success for Therapists is a Board Certified art therapist, NY State Licensed art therapist and mental health counselor, certified parent and teen coach, and doctorate candidate. Laura owns an Art Therapy business in Sarasota, FL called the Creativity Queen, LLC. Laura brings 20 years of experience working with families, children and teens in over 21 school districts. Laura is a national presenter, esteemed clinician, author, and winner of the 2007 Small Business of the Year Award (SCORE).
Laura created Business Success for Therapists from her own experience with struggling to develop a thriving private practice. Upon realizing that all the fancy credentials before and after her name did not guarantee her a successful therapy business Laura began studying how to create a thriving business. She moved to FL in 2004 and by 2007 she had created a full art therapy practice and won the 2007 Small Business of the Year Award.
Laura’s strong desire to help other struggling therapists by teaching them the systems she used to rocket her business lead her to launch Business Success for Therapists in 2009.
