It's unlikely that people will go to Facebook or one of the other sites specifically in search of a helping practitioner. Although if a client posts an experience with a positive result and "a friend" reads that who is looking for that result, there may be an opportunity. Increasingly, I am seeing how almost everything I do reflects upon and impacts my professional work with clients. Sometimes I think this is both a blessing and a curse, because it really calls me to a higher standard in my professional and personal life, and that is not always easy. Change can be a struggle, even for a therapist. Thank you for helping me to see the connection between marketing and practice in a new way. It is costing you more when you accept less. I practice hypnosis and know words are a powerful influence so being told "tisk, tisk" and "passive, co-dependent behavior" feels like I'm being guilted or chastised.
